GoRockford members and NASCAR fans gathered downtown on April 7 to announce the new Rockford-branded race car.
Rockford-based Insurance King partnered with GoRockford to sponsor a race car that will be driven by Josh Bilicki, a Wisconsin native. The car will make its debut on April 19 at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina.

Dan Block, owner of Insurance King, said after sponsoring Bilicki for seven seasons, he had the idea to bring in GoRockford to allow more exposure for his insurance company and his hometown of Rockford.
“When Rockingham Speedway was announced that we’re going back, I thought of Dan right away,” Bilicki said. “Dan had the idea of bringing GoRockford, so super cool. I’m thankful to be here.”
The car is decorated with GoRockford’s color scheme of white, orange and teal. It also features Rockford-specific emblems like the Rockford Peaches, ROCK’N Vodka, a sock monkey and more.
“We appreciate that you’re giving back to the community and that when you had the idea of Rockingham, which is known as ‘The Rock,’ one of your first instincts was to shine a light back onto the community,” President of GoRockford John Groh said. “We’re really grateful that we’re able to do that with you.”
