A U.S. Energy Department order to “avoid” using the words “green,” “climate change” and “emissions” because they conflict with “the Administration’s perspectives and priorities” presents a tough situation for its Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The office’s mission is to invest in “green” technology and reduce fossil fuel emissions that cause global warming, er, climate change.
Green investments directed toward Hawaii have already been clawed back, and more are targeted. Now we’ve got to wonder whether Hawaii Gov. Josh Green’s emails will even get through.
