IndyCar has changed the start time of a race at Iowa Speedway scheduled for Sunday, July 13.
On May 14, IndyCar and broadcast partner Fox Sports announced that it had shifted the start times for five races. An IndyCar race at Iowa Speedway originally scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 13 was moved to noon on the same day. The race scheduled for July 12 kept its previously announced start time of 4 p.m.

The Indianapolis Star reported the changes were made to avoid competition for TV ratings with other sporting events like NASCAR races. The Star reported that the Iowa race’s time was shifted to avoid a TV conflict with NASCAR’s race at 2:30 p.m. that day.
IndyCar also moved times for races at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis on June 15, Road America in Wisconsin on June 22, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 6 and in Toronto on July 20.
