HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) – A kitten was rescued from a car engine after a driver stopped at a Kentucky fire station on Wednesday.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department said a driver coming from Nashville stopped at Station 1 and told firefighters there may be an animal in the vehicle’s engine compartment.

HFD personnel, along with Hopkinsville Police, investigated further and discovered a kitten hiding under the engine.
The kitten rode the entire trip from Nashville to Hopkinsville under the vehicle’s engine.
Animal control came to the station and assessed the kitten, which was found to be uninjured.
The kitten did belong to the driver and was given back to them after being checked out, HFD said.
“When we say we’re an ‘all-hazards’ department, we mean it,” HFD said. “All-hazards. Big or small.”
