Ford Motor Company has issued a recall notice for more than 550,000 vehicles for problems with the vehicles’ airbags and a separate issue with door trim.
The first recall covers more than 63,000 Ford Mavericks, model year 2025, that may have an airbag indicator light that can become loose or dislodged.
Drivers and passengers may not know if the passenger airbag is on or off, increasing risk of injury.
The second recall is for 492,000 Ford Explorers, model years 2016-2017.
That issue is for driver and front passenger B-pillar door trim that could come off the vehicle and detach while driving.
The B-pillar piece of door trim that covers the frame separating the front and backseat windows.
If it were to come loose, it could become a debris hazard in the road for other vehicles.
Owners will be notified by Ford, or can contact their Ford Dealer.
