WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – Firefighters helped rescue a cat Tuesday that was stuck in a car engine.
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said the driver heard faint meowing while driving home and pulled over when he realized the sounds were coming from his vehicle. He discovered a cat stuck deep inside his car’s engine.
Washington County Animal Services responded to the call but did not have the proper equipment for the rescue. They contacted TVF&R for help.
After working to reach the animal, firefighters and the cat made it to a position where crews could safely remove the cat from the engine.
The cat is now safe with animal services.
