BEAUMONT, Texas — A 45-year-old woman is dead following a fiery wreck involving a hybrid electric vehicle and a dump truck in Orange on Tuesday morning.
Police in Orange are investigating the fatal wreck involving a Toyota Venza hybrid electric vehicle and a dump truck Tuesday morning.
City of Orange firefighters and Acadian Ambulance medics were sent to the wreck in the 4500 block of Womack Rd at about 9:45 a.m., according to officials on the scene.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck along Womack Rd. north of Interstate 10 by Orange County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins.
Firefighters told 12News that that because the electric vehicle caught fire it was very dangerous.
No other information about the wreck has been made available by police at this time.
